More gore: Outcast Season 2 adds The Conjuring & Insidious SFX team

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Remember that scene if HIGH FIDELITY where John Cusack keeps asking Jack Black to analyze what he means by saying "I haven't seen EVIL DEAD 2 – yet"? Yeah, keep that in mind when I say I haven't watched the first season of OUTCAST – yet.

Anyways, OUTCAST's SFX make up head, Conor McCullagh, recently talked to iHorror about season 2 of the series, and dropped some interesting tid bits. That said, let it be known that I haven't over-read his comments for fear they will stick and ruin my eventual season one binge-watch.

But onto his comments:

“Right now, the producers aren’t giving anything away. So it would be unwise for me to get into how the story is evolving, but we do learn a lot more about what’s happening in the town of Rome, and how Kyle Barnes is connected to it. The production has definitely ramped up on the FX. This season, we brought in Justin Raleigh’s company, Fractured FX, to help with the workload. On season one, I was kind of a one-man department, bringing additional help on a few episodes as needed.”

The Fractured FX team he mentions is the team behind such classics as INSIDIOUS, THE CONJURING so if you are a fan of the first season of OUTCAST, I think it's safe to say you're SFX are in good hands come season 2.

Fire back at me in the comments below and let me know your thoughts on the first season of OUTCAST because I'm always looking for some first-hand feedback on the series.

Wrenn Schmidt would make a great adult Beverly Marsh and Loki would've made a great Pennywise.
