Last Updated on July 31, 2021

It was back in May that we let you guys know MTV was completely rebooting their SCREAM TV series from the ground up with new characters and storyline. Well, today we have info on two new characters and who will be playing them.

Turns out rapper-actors Tyga and C.J. Wallace will have leading roles in the six-episode third season, which will be made available in a special three-night binge-model this March.

SCREAM Season 3 synopsis:

Deion Elliot, a local star running back's tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.

Tyga (aka Michael Ray Stevenson) plays Jamal, Deion’s stepbrother, who "despite hanging out with a rough crowd, he’s got a big heart and an undying loyalty to Deion."

C.J. Wallace, who is the son of The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans, will play Amir, "a good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business. Amir is a socially awkward savant who dreams of making music one day, an ambition he must stifle and keep to himself. But when events make him the unexpected target of a killer, Amir finds himself in over his head and his world view challenged. Facing death makes Amir reconsider what he wants for his life and the lengths he's willing to go to find his identity and chase his dreams — should he survive."

Brett Matthews (SUPERNATURAL) is SCREAM's new showrunner and will exec producer alongside Queen Latifah, Shakim Conpere, Yaneley Arty, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad.

While a specific date has not yet been announced, SCREAM is set to return in March with a three-night event of its six-episode third season.

We'll keep you up to date on all things SCREAM but until then let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
