New clip from Joseph O’Brien’s Devil’s Mile, starring David Hayter

Back in February we brought you the news that Phase 4 Films had scooped up the North American rights to the horror/crime thriller DEVIL'S MILE, the feature directorial debut of Joseph O’Brien, whose screenwriting credits include ROBOCOP: PRIME DIRECTIVES and the original script for the New Zealand gorefest FRESH MEAT. The film is scheduled to hit VOD and DVD on August 12, following its premiere at Fantasia International Film Festival this upcoming weekend. Now we've got a look at the flick via the first clip, which you can peep below.

DEVIL'S MILE stars X-MEN and WATCHMEN screenwriter David Hayter (who is no stranger to work in front of the camera with his turn as the titular character in GUYVER; DARK HERO), as well as Maria del Mar ("24"), Frank Moore, and Casey Hudecki (WOLVES).

The film follows…

…a trio of kidnappers who take an ill-advised detour en route to deliver their hostages – two teenage girls – to their mysterious and powerful employer.

When they accidentally kill one of the girls during a botched escape attempt, their simmering mistrust explodes into shocking violence. But what they thought was their worst case scenario is only the beginning, as they are engulfed by the hellish forces that haunt the road – a road they realize they may never escape. Now captors and captive must fight together to escape the monstrous forces pursuing them and somehow survive "devil's mile."
