New E-Promises trailer

The month of September is an interesting month at the movies. Usually we’re thrown the flicks that don’t have that summer movie potential, and they’re just shy of making out with the holiday box office. Not nearly as bad as January or February, but generally a mixed bag of releases that can go either way.

But somehow this September is different, with the release of flicks like SHOOT EM’ UP, RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION and of course, David Cronenberg’s EASTERN PROMISES. These flicks look awesome, and gives September new hope when it comes to hitting up the theater.

Word around the street is that PROMISES is a damn fine movie (did anyone doubt it would be?), and that the SPA scene is f*cking nuts. Ain’t nothing like a naked Russian fighting in a spa to equal a good movie- just look what it did for Schwarzenegger in RED HEAT!

The latest trailer for PROMISES is now online, and yes… it kicks ass. Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts look like their giving some great performances, with plenty of scenes striking high on the brutality level. My kind of movie! Check out the trailer below, and be sure to drink a bottle of Russian’s finest vodka before you check out PROMISES on September 14th, when it hits theaters everywhere.
