New Helix trailer pays the price

The man behind "Battlestar Galactica", Ron Moore, returns with his ground-breaking sci-fi thriller "Helix" which will premiere Friday, January 10, 2014. Yesterday we got a look at two new teasers for the upcoming series that gave us an intriguing look into the first season. Now, we've got our hands on an all new extended trailer for the show that shows its horrific roots as a team of scientists try to control a terrifying disease outbreak. I'm excited to see how this one turns out because surprisingly enough, it's got one hell of a horror edge to it that I wasn't expecting from Syfy. See for yourselves below!

When a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, they quickly find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation.

"Helis" stars Billy Campbell, Kyra Zagorsky, Jordan Hayes, and Jeri Ryan. Also executive producing are Lynda Obst (CONTACT) and Steven Maeda ("Lost," "CSI: Miami," "The X-Files"). "Helix" premieres Friday, January 10, 2014, at 10/9c, only on Syfy.
