Last Updated on August 5, 2021

We recently learned that George Miller would be driving MAD MAX: FURY ROAD to San Diego Comic-Con, reportedly to share some footage from the film with eager fans. Now, just ahead of Comic-Com, Entertainment Weekly has given us two new looks at the highly anticipated film with some rather badass imagery, which you can peep below.

These latest pics follow last months reveal of a handful of stills from MAD MAD: FURY ROAD, and the more I see from this flick, the more stoked I get for it. I need to control myself, though. We're still a long ways out from seeing it hit the big screen as the flick is eyeing a May 15, 2015 release. It can't get here fast enough!

Here's the film's official synopsis:

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.

And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

The film also stars Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosei Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

These latest pics reveal that the character strapped to the front of a car driving across the desert in the original set of photos is noneother than Max himself (Hardy). Looks like he's in for another wild ride when MAD MAX: FURY ROAD hits theaters on May 15 next year.
