New images from Stephen King’s Cell starring John Cusack

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

We’ve been waiting to ring in the movie adaptation of CELL for a couple years now (It went into production in early 2014), and while there is still no official release date set for the Stephen King thriller, we have been getting more and more looks at it, which is better than nothing. (Our last came in January.) Above and below you’ll find a handful of fresh images from the Tod Williams-directed film, which premieres in a few short days at Frightfest in Glasgow.

Starring John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman and Stacy Keach, CELL goes like this:

When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”

We’ll hit you up with a release date (or more images) when we get it.
