New international trailer for Only God Forgives features new footage, more story

Last night we gave you your first look at the newest teaser poster for Nicolas Winding Refn’s ONLY GOD FORGIVES, and the devil is in the details as today we have a brand new international trailer for the Ryan Gosling-starring revenge flick. This time we have a look at a little more footage than the previous trailer offered, as well as gaining some more insight into the films story. ONLY GOD FORGIVES will be playing as part of the Cannes Film Festival line-up before hitting cinemas on July 19 2013. Peep the new international trailer below.

Julian (Ryan Gosling) lives in exile in Bangkok where he runs a Thai boxing club as a front for the family’s drugs smuggling operation. When Julian’s brother Billy is killed, their mother, Jenna (Kristen Scott Thomas), arrives in the city. She wants revenge and forces Julian to find the killer. Julian’s contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands that Julian kill The Angel of Vengeance, an act that will cost him dearly..
