New Godzilla art and tagline revealed

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

"The world ends, Godzilla begins" says the tagline at the bottom of this very cool international theater standee for GODZILLA. The title of the film is in big bold red letters with the faint image of GODZILLA's tail hidden behind them. I love the marketing for the film so far as they've only been giving us little glimpses of the King of monsters, saving the big reveal for when he crashes into theaters.

I always get a kick out of the standee art that sits in the lobby of a movie theater. A lot of them are creative as hell and do a fantastic job of promoting a film in a way that posters can't. Unfortunately, my theater is run by hillbillies who probably don't even know what a standee is, let alone know how to put one together so I never actually get to see the damn things. Thankfully, someone snapped a picture of this bad boy for us all to gawk at. Check that shit out below!

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster hero against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Gareth Edwards' GODZILLA will tear up cinemas on May 16, 2014 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Richard T. Jones, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Patrick Sabongui, Yuki Morita, Brian Markinson, Juliette Binoche, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, C.J. Adams, and Ken Watanabe.
