Next Leatherface flick will probably be yet another reboot

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

As many of you I'm sure are more than aware, the latest entry in the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE series was released earlier this year. It wasn't the biggest bomb ever but it was pretty disappointing.

Anyhow, whether you thought the latest reboot/prequel to Tobe Hooper's classic, LEATHERFACE was worthy of the title or not, you have nothing to worry about come the next film in the franchise because it looks like it will be yet another reboot.

LEATHERFACE producer Christa Campbell took to Twitter to let us know that she and her business partners lost the rights to the TCM films and thus the next film probably will yet again start fresh.

How do you feel about another TCM reboot? Make sure to let us know in the comments below or on social media. Until then rewatch the awesome LEATHERFACE trailer below.

LEATHERFACE synopsis:

In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.

LEATHERFACE stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, Jessica Madsen, Finn Jones, James Bloor, Nicole Andrews, Julian Kostov, and Sam Coleman.
