Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now coming to Blu-ray in the UK

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Optimum Home Entertainment will release DON’T LOOK NOW on Blu-ray in the U.K. in April. An exact date has not yet been announced and supplemental materials are unknown at the present, but you can check out the cover art below. Here is the synopsis:

John and Laura Baxter are living in Venice when they meet a pair of elderly sisters, one of whom claims to be psychic. She insists that she sees the spirit of the Baxters’ daughter, who recently drowned. Laura is intrigued, but John resists the idea. He, however, seems to have his own psychic flashes, seeing their daughter walk the streets in her red cloak, as well as Laura and the sisters on a funeral gondola.

Nicolas Roeg’s 1973 film is best remembered for its shocking ending and its intimate love scene. The script was written by Allan Scott and Chris Bryant, as based on a short story by THE BIRDS scribe Daphne Du Maurier. The picture stars Donald Sutherland, Julie Christie (below), and Hilary Mason.

Pre-order DON’T LOOK NOW on Blu-ray HERE. We’ll let you know when the full details are announced. Hopefully we’ll hear about a high defnition release for the U.S. as well.
