No real shock here, but Michelle Rodriguez will return for Machete Kills!

More Michelle Rodriguez in our lives is always a good thing…

And with MACHETE KILLS, Robert Rodriguez’s continuation of the unruly Mexican federale, Michelle will indeed be gracing us with her presence. No real shock, as both Rodriguez and Jessica Alba were mentioned a few weeks ago as potential signings.  For Michelle, she’ll return to the take-no-shit role of Luz.

To be wholly directed by Rodriguez this time out:

The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.

Mel Gibson is set to co-star as Luther Voz, a cunning arms dealer and death merchant who aims to spread war across the planet by launching a missile. Jessica Alba is also expected to return for the sequel, which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.
