Nothing stays buried forever in new “True Blood” season 5 promo video

Now that we’re in the dead of winter…who’s up for a little summer tease?

HBO has just issued a new promo video for the 5th season of its hit vampire skein “True Blood.” Short and sweet, the new ad warns “In Bon Temps, nothing stays buried forever.” Encourage words…especially when considering the reference to the season 4 finale (think Russell Edgington).

Due to hit sometime this summer, here’s where the shows evolution has brought us:

Thanks to a Japanese scientist’s invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures “coming out of the coffin.” Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out.

Christopher Heyerdahl, Scott Foley, Lucy Griffiths, Dale Dickey, Louis Herthum, Valentina Cervi and Kelly Overton (below) are a few new members joining Sookie and the gang.
