Jose Larraz’s underrated horror classic VAMPYRES his been remade and we have a trailer right here to prove it. While it’s not necessarily the kind of film that needed a remake, Victor Matellano’s take on the 1974 classic looks like it's staying pretty faithful to its predecessor, featuring plenty of the red stuff. How’s this for a synopsis?
A lesbian vampire couple waylay and abduct various passer-byes, both male and female, to hold them captive at their rural manor in the English countryside in order to kill and feed on them to satisfy their insatiable thirst for blood.
The film was directed by Matellano, from a story by Larraz himself, and produced by Ángel Mora and stars Caroline Munro (MANIAC, CAPTAIN KRONOS), together with Christian Stamm, Verónica P. Bacorn, Anthony Rotsa and Luis Hacha, with Marta Flich and Almudena León as the two female vampires.
