TRAILER REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF THE STUDIO

It's been a while since we last heard any word on singularly-named director Makinov's remake of the Spanish horror flick WHO CAN KILL A CHILD entitled COME OUT TO PLAY. It was almost five months ago when we learned that Cinedigm Entertainment had picked up U.S. rights to the film and now we have news that we will soon be seeing what all of the fuss was about when COME OUT TO PLAY hits VOD next week, on Tuesday, February 12, just ahead of its March theatrical release. On top of that news we have a new trailer for the film which you can check out below.

Beth (Vinessa Shaw) and Francis (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) vacation before the birth of their child. Francis insists on venturing to a more serene locale, and Beth hesitantly agrees. They set out to a beautiful island, but soon discover it’s mysteriously abandoned and the only people on the island are children. Beth and Francis are left to uncover the mystery of the disappeared adults and a day in paradise quickly turns into a struggle for survival.

The trailer looks intriguing enough although it's hard to tell if this film will be able to capture the creepiness of the original. Watch for COME OUT TO PLAY on VOD February 12.

Extra Tidbit: So what did you think of the trailer? Will you be giving this remake a chance?

Kids huh

There are few things that creep me out more than kids in horrormovies. I have not seen the original but I will definitely check this one out.
I like that it takes place in bright and sunny surroundings rather than the usual dark and gloomy locales genremovies are usually stuck in.
