Excuse me a sec...just vomited a little.
Variety is running, with a far straighter face than I, a story that has music video director Ray Kay (blonde dude to the right) in line to helm a supernatural thriller called PARANORMALCY. Makes sense right? After all, the dude has cut videos for Disgustin' Bieber and (possibly a) Lady Gaga. Good enough to direct a feature, right?
Adapted from Kiersten White's novel by Mitch Klebanoff, PARANORMALCY follows a teen who works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency and discovers she may be at the center of a dark prophecy predicting the destruction of all paranormal creatures.
A paranormal containment agency? Haha...that's good. Seriously though I'm still kind of stuck on the director's name being Ray Kay. What the hell is going on in this world?
PARANORMALCY will obviously mark Kay's feature debut. Klebanoff, the writer, has such cinematic gems as BEVERLY HILLS NINJA and DISORDERLIES (very little sarcasm there) to his name. He also wrote something that came out last year with The Hoff, titled DANCING NINJA.
More on PARANORMALCY as we scare it...
