Join us every MONDAY as we review the latest episode...

EPISODE 14: Prey

THE HOOK: With Hershel's farm overrun, Rick and company are on the move again. They come across a prison which Rick feels would be perfect...once it's purged of walkers. But the dead aren't the only danger lurking in the shadows.

THE LOWDOWN: (The following column contains MAJOR SPOILERS, so I don't recommend reading this if you haven't watched this episode). So much for negotiations...or the facade of being Mr. Nice guy, the Governorís all business now baby, and that business is revenge and death dealing. Watching him assemble his little torture porn dungeon room actually made me feel like heís finally becoming the villain I know and love. At first, seeing as how itís meant for Michonne, I started to wonder if we might actually see some of the things that transpire between those two characters in the comics actually happen, but after the episode endedóIíll come back to thatóI let the notion slide. Clearly heís still pissed about Penny, so I canít believe Milton would say whatís done is done, it doesnít matter. I honestly thought the Governor was going to rip out his lungs right then and there. Not the brightest fella in the mix that Milton.

Now speaking of Milton not being too bright, telling Andrea the truth was both good and bad. Clearly it was good because he knew sheíd do something about it, but if you donít have the balls to let her do whatís right (like take that damn shot), why bother? They were boys before the shit hit the fan, I get that and I love that heís willing to stay on board a sinking ship, but again, why rock the damn thing if youíre going to drown anywayóand it doesnít exactly confirm this, but I know for a fact Milton was the one to unleash hell upon those walkers. I think we all can agree there, but at what cost? I like Milton, the dumb bastard, but I donít see him getting out of this alive.

Miltonís not the only one to have a crisis of conscience, Tyreese comes to his senses as well (I knew he would at some point). The inner turmoil fighting between him and his stooge was funny as hell, I said from the start itís going to Tyreese and his sister, the other two are walker food. It wonít be by Tyreeseís hands (as we saw tonight), but itís only a matter of time and I for one will giggle my ass off when it happens. I was also very touched by the look back into Andrea and Michonneís stay out in the wilds together. Again, weíre seeing a very human side of Michonne and I like that. The story about her two walkers differs from the show to the comic, but I liked the way itís played. Yes, they serve as walker repellant, but it was also a form of poetic justice. Love it.

THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 3's fourteenth episode covered a lot of ground within the enemy camp, and itís nice to see the Governorís got some wolves in his henhouse to contend with. It becomes clear that heís willing to do whatever it takes in that regard as he goes after Andrea. Iím glad she finally opens her damn eyes but talk about the worst hiding place everóand how about the prize behind door number one. I thought for sure she was going to get bit when she re-opened that door, but I knew the Governor would get out. That said, I really dug the ending, but thought for sure she was going to make itóthe Rick close encounter was a nice touch that really added to the moment. Coming back to my previous statement, poor Andrea now sits in Michonneís chair and Iím anxious to see if she gets out. Just two episodes left.

ZOMBIE KILL OF THE WEEK: The kill of the night goes to Andrea and her walker threesome in the woods. You got game, girl.

BLOOD AND GORE: We get all kinds of zombie kills, a zombie pyre and the promise of nasty torture to come.

WHOSE HEAD BELONGS IN THE GOV'S FISHTANK: Milton. Like I said, I love the guy and all, but damn boy, choose a side and make a stand already or youíre going to have your ass handed to both you and the walkers.

COOLEST SCENE: For me it was the Governor assembling his torture room. Not because I enjoy torture, but because it marked his point of no return. Heís out for blood and now he doesnít care who knows it, even his own people.

FINAL VERDICT:

TELL US WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THIS EPISODE BELOW!

Extra Tidbit: Robert Kirkman has already confirmed that some deaths are heading our way and that the finale will leave us speechless. Who do you think is going to expire by seasonís end?

The Governor has finally gone banana. This is one exciting episode. My favorite kill (though there's no casualty) is when Andrea opened the door and let a horde of zombies out to get The Governor who was chasing her in the abandoned warehouse. But Wow, this is one knock-out episode!

I can't believe it, but I was actually cheering for Andrea tonight rather than hoping she dies. I'm thinking Michonne will free her or Milton, but I tend to agree with everyone else (and you) in that Milton will probably die. The Gov, not sure, he's in the comics for a bit, but then again, they have other bad guys to move on to, or they could make a couple up so I guess it's not wrong to assume he'll die too.

Now THAT'S more I like it!...

Ok so I went on record (and got scolded for it on here) saying I didnt like the last two filler episodes, but this one was great! Great pacing and tension and it actually MATTERED in the story and especially Andrea's arch.

Another great episode!! I think the Gov will kill Milton for breaking Andrea out of the dungeon. I tend to think the Governor will not see a season 4, which is a bit sad, Morrisey is doing a great job with the character.

Great episode. I mean, I wonder why Andrea didn't just take the Governor's truck or cut the wires...but that would've ruined the plot of course ;)

Great review, and I think Milton will die (by accident somehow, but it'll be the Gov's fault) and I'm thinking Merle or Daryl because they're not in the comics, or maybe they'll just kill off Tyreese and his whole crew. Anything can happen at this point. Oh, but I don't think the Governor will die this season.

I think that Milton will die getting Andrea out of the torture dungeon she finds herself currently in.

Episode was sick, can't wait to see the full on fight. Rick better not give up Michonne and as for Andrea, somehow she'll get out of it, probably rescued by Michonne. As for who's gonna die, I don't see Merle making it out alive.

chew on this...

great episode....
milton will kill the governor.
also...i think this week and last week shouldve overlapped. andrea appearing in the clearing, just to see maggie and glen disappear behind that door.

I considered Milton might do that, but I don't think he has killing in him, besides, I think the Gov will get an epic final battle when he goes down and Milton couldn't give that to us.

I missed the first five minutes and apparently I missed a lot. This was a great episode. Milton, who I also love, is not going to make it. I think people are wishing up to the governor's sinister intentions, but it's all going to be too late, as Andrea learned. The scene in the warehouse was extremely intense and I thought for sure Andrea was free and clear (why didn't she take his truck!?! Ugh) but I knew that he would not die there. I'm anxious for next week. It should be intense as well.

First five minutes you missed the Andrea and Michonne flashback as well as The Governor setting up his torture room. I'd rewatch just for the Andrea Michonne part alone.
