You might know John Erick Dowdle and his brother Drew (both pictured below) from such movies as QUARANTINE, THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES and DEVIL, but it looks like the creative duo are about to add another film to their resume. Bloody Disgusting found out that the Brothers’ passion project THE COUP has just entered pre-production. What’s even more interesting, it seems that the flick has already scored itself a leading man with Owen Wilson!
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
“In their new overseas home, an American family soon finds themselves caught in the middle of a coup, and they frantically look for a safe escape while rebels mercilessly attack the city.”
No word yet on a tentative release date, but we’ll keep you posted should further info surface.
