Paramount hires help to rewrite & re-shoot parts of Oren Peli’s Area 51

It’s been a while since we heard anything regarding Oren Peli’s sophmore effort AREA 51. Actually it’s been over 9 months! Damn where does the time go? Well today we’ve finally got an update on the intriguing project…

According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting Paramount Pictures have gone and hired actor/director Chris Denham to spruce up the script a little and get the project ready for some re-shoots. While your gut is probably telling you this is bad news try not to jump to conclusions yet. Re-shoots don’t always mean the movie sucks. Here’s hoping this is for the best!

Three curious teens are lead to the notorious Area 51 portion of Nellis Air Force Base in the Nevada desert.

Cast for this little diddy includes Reid Warner, Darrin Bragg, and Ben Rovner. Now there’s no telling when exactly AREA 51 will be jumping back in front of the camera but as always we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear more!
