Deadline is reporting that Pedro Pascal ("The Good Wife"), PHANTASM II's James LeGros and Chin Han (THE DARK KNIGHT) have been cast in NBC‘s Carlton Cuse-produced pilot THE SIXTH GUN, joining the previously announced Laura Ramsey for the adaptation of the popular supernatural graphic novel.

Written by Ryan Condal based on the comic, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Universal TV, the supernatural Western...

follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, a farmer’s daughter named Becky Montcrief (Laura Ramsey), dark forces reawaken.

Pascal will play Special Agent Ortega, the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who follows Mercer’s (Aldis Hodge) lead. LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger who is a fervently loyal companion and sidekick to Drake Sinclair. Chin Han plays Chow, a brilliant Machiavellian schemer.

We'll continue to bring ya more on THE SIXTH GUN as we hear it.

Extra Tidbit: Have you read THE SIXTH GUN? Do you think it will translate well to the boob tube?

The comic is great. I've not kept up with it as much as I should have after the first couple of story arcs, but it's definitely worth checking out. It's one that could go either way as a TV show. They'll need to throw some money at it for the effects. I'm not quite sure it will find a large enough audience for them to justify keeping it going, but here's hoping!

Thinking about hitting up the comic shop this evening and grabbing a couple of 'em, just to see if it's up my alley.
