IT: Pennywise was going to eat a baby in deleted scene

6 days agoby: Mike Sprague

A few months back we got a scoop on a deleted scene from STEPHEN KING'S IT that centered around Bill Skarsgard before becoming Pennywise and today we have a bit more info on said scene.

The info comes from the podcast "Throwing Shade" where the guy hosting the episode, Bryan Safi, and his guest, Timothy Simons, reveal they auditioned for the role eventually played by Bill Skarsgard.

Eventually, one of the guys brings out his audition-script and reads the deleted scene in (somewhat) its entirety. I then transcribed what he read. He stops right as it's starting to get good - as you will see - but still, the lead up to Pennywise eating a damn baby is pretty f*cking scary on its own.

Give it a read below and then let us know what you think!

Bryan Safi reading IT script:

SUPERIMPOSE: 1637

Abigail, 19 brushes in and slams the door as if trying to keep Satan himself out. She clutches her baby to her breast.

Her baby starts to fuss.

She stops, realizes that the small candle-chandelier slowly spins above her as if some unnatural force causes it to rotate.

She hears something slithering in the grey shadows by the well and occasionally catches a glimpse of a black silhouette.

A beam of light passes, revealing PENNYWISE, naked, live fresh, pale and translucent. A half-formed imitation of a human. He opens his maw, filled with large razor sharp teeth, dripping with saliva.

His voice is guttural; unnatural

Here is where the host stops reading the scene and literally says, "no one cares."

Basically, he says, 'I'll take your baby, then your husband, then the rest of your children', you know what, no one cares.

Dude!?! Keep reading that shite!

Sadly, he doesn't. However, the other guy does give us a bit more info on Pennywise's next bits of dialogue, saying Pennywise talked in the "old-timy language", uses words such as "thy" and basically tell the woman to "give me that baby or I will take everything for you and THEN damn you to the soil."

The relevant parts stop there, but if you want to check out the episode yourself CLICK HERE.

STEPHEN KING'S IT is now playing in theaters. Duh.

Extra Tidbit: Thanks to Brennan for the heads up!
