Johnny Gruesome Gregory Lamberson

Writer/director Gregory Lamberson is now in the last stages of post-production on JOHNNY GRUESOME, a project that originated with a screenplay Lamberson wrote back in 1984. Ten years after adapting the story into an award-winning novel, Lamberson is finally bringing his tale of revenge to the screen.

Starring Anthony De La Torre, Byron Brown II, Aprilann, Madison Amey, Chris Modrzynski, Kim Piazza, Richard Lounello, and Michael DeLorenzo, JOHNNY GRUESOME has the following synopsis:

In the village of Red Hill, high school student Eric Carter suspects his murdered best friend Johnny Grissom has returned from the grave to exact revenge upon his enemies.

Lamberson is hoping to secure distribution for an October 2017 release, but as we wait for news on how JOHNNY will be making its way out into the world the filmmaker has shared a poster for the movie. Designed by Chris Cosgrave, this poster shows off the title character, sporting makeup created by Craig Lindberg.

The JOHNNY GRUESOME logo was created by Eric Mache in 1987, and still looks very cool on the poster today.
