Predators have been spotted on the set of Shane Black’s The Predator

Last month, images from the set of director Shane Black's THE PREDATOR, an "inventive sequel" to the 1987 classic PREDATOR, showed stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, and Augusto Aguilera (along with a faceless dead body) riding around on a tank. Vancouver photographer Jarrod Au has now captured another shot of this tank in action – and this time he caught a couple Predators in the image as well.

In Au's picture, Rhodes is back in his gunner position on the tank and has been joined by co-stars Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Jane, as well as a pair of Predators. One of them is posing for the camera, and both of them look like they have become pals with the human characters. In fact, one of these Predators appears to have become so human-friendly that he's wearing pants.

A while back, Black posted artwork of a Predator wearing pants and carrying a machine gun. I thought this was just an odd choice of fan art at the time, but now it seems that picture (which I can't find online now) may have been a hint of things to come.

According to possible SPOILERS obtained by the fans over at Predator4-movie.com, this film may contain a potentially controversial plot twist in which the Predators team up with the human heroes to face off with a mutual enemy. Sort of like what we saw in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR.

We'll find out for sure why these Predators and humans are hanging out with each other when THE PREDATOR is released on August 3, 2018.

In addition to Holbrook, Rhodes, Aguilera, Key, and Jane, the film also stars Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Jake Busey, and Edward James Olmos. Black wrote the screenplay with his THE MONSTER SQUAD collaborator Fred Dekker.
