Producer exits the fourth installment of Jurassic Park for some Tie Fighters

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Here’s a bit of interesting news for you guys. According to co-producer Frank Marshall, the long time collaborator with Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, will not be producing JURASSIC PARK IV for Universal Pictures anymore. It looks like she will be heading for the stars as she is now attached to this little movie you guys might have heard of, STAR WARS. Via his twitter, Marshal said:

No, Ms. Kennedy has moved onto Star Wars and will not be producing JP4,” said Marshall before joking, “She’s traded raptors for TIE fighters.

So what does this mean for the fourth installment? Unfortunately it’s still too early to tell what kind of damage this might do to the film as Kennedy is certainly one pretty big piece to the puzzle. With one of their key producers leaving and still no word on a potential director, it’s hard to believe that Spielberg and Universal are still aiming for a June 13, 2014 release. There isn’t much known about the film just yet but it is currently being penned by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa.

Also, this is what I’ll do to my face if Sam Neil (EVENT HORIZON) doesn’t make an appearance in JURASSIC PARK IV.
