Psychological thriller Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes acquired by Tribeca Film

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Tribeca Film and Well Go USA have co-acquired Francesca Gregorini’s EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES, which we passed along the trailer for last month. The two companies plan to release the film theatrically later this year and make it available via most VOD platforms, including iTunes, Amazon Watch Instantly, VUDU, Xbox, Sony PlayStation, Google Play and YouTube.

In the film…

A troubled girl becomes preoccupied with her mysterious new neighbor, who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. In offering to baby-sit Linda’s newborn, Emanuel unwittingly enters a fragile, fictional world, of which she becomes the gatekeeper.

EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES (not a great title, admittedly) stars Kaya Scodelario, Jessica Biel, Alfred Molina, Frances O’Connor, Aneurin Barnar and Jimmi Simpson. We’ll give you a heads-up once the film gets a solid release date.
