Rainn Wilson, Bill Sage and more join Spectrevision’s The Boy

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

SpectreVision, the independent film company spearheaded by Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller, recently announced its latest project, THE BOY, which is to be helmed by Craig McNeill. On tap for you today is a look at the impressive group of actors that have just been slotted to join the film that tracks the childhood of a future serial killer.

Joining Jared Breeze in THE BOY is Rainn Wilson, David Morse, Mike Vogel, Zuleikha Robinson and Bill Sage. It is the first of a planned trilogy tracking…

…the childhood of a future serial killer, with installments depicting the character at ages 9, 14 and 18, respectively, and ending with his full transformation to an iconic mass murderer.

Wilson will portray the character of William Colby, an enigmatic stranger who intrigues and beguiles the young Ted Henley. Morse is John Henley, motel owner and father of the boy who will eventually grow to infamy. Mike Vogel and Zuleikha Robinson play a married couple, who along with their son (Aiden Lovekamp) spend the night at the Henley motel, and Bill Sage will portray the Sheriff of the rural town in which the Henleys reside. And as previously announced, the title role of Ted Henley will be portrayed by 8-year old Jared Breeze.

Sage gave one of the best performance I've seen in quite a while as Frank Parker in Jim Mickle's WE ARE WHAT WE ARE so I'm really excited to see what he brings to this. Same goes for Vogel, who is another name we've been seeing quite a bit around these parts, as he recently starred in A&E's "Bates Motel" as well as CBS' "Under the Dome". What I'm trying to say is that this is a pretty solid cast for what has to be one of the most intriguing horror films to be headed our way in the future. Look for more soon!
