With her roles in Ash vs. Evil Dead, THE BABYSITTER, and MAYHEM, actress Samara Weaving has quickly become a new favorite genre regular for a lot of horror fans. She has continued to hold our attention with roles in the mini-series adaptation of Picnic at Hanging Rock and by taking on a role in DEATHGASM director Jason Lei Howden's upcoming film GUNS AKIMBO, now Weaving's streak of interesting projects will continue with the Fox Searchlight thriller READY OR NOT.

READY OR NOT will be coming to us from the filmmaking team called Radio Silence, which previously contributed segments to the anthology films V/H/S and SOUTHBOUND. Team members Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin will be directing the film, while third member Chad Villella will be executive producing alongside Tara Farney and Tracey Nyberg.

Tripp Vinson of Vinson Films is producing with James Vanderbilt, Bradley Fischer, and William Sherak of Mythology Entertainment.

Written by Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy, READY OR NOT tells the story of

a young woman who is invited on the night of her wedding by her new husband’s rich, eccentric family to participate in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.

So it sounds like Weaving will be enduring the worst "meet the family" scenario since GET OUT. She has made me a fan with the genre work she has done so far, so I'm definitely on board to watch READY OR NOT.

Outside of her thriller and horror work, Weaving also had a role in the Oscar-worthy film THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. She got started appearing in soap operas in her home country, Australia.

READY OR NOT is scheduled to begin filming this fall.
