Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi thriller Morgan gets an intense second trailer

Almost one month to the day after releasing the first trailer for the Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi thriller MORGAN, a trailer I described as being refreshingly sparse on details, distributor 20th Century Fox has released a second trailer that digs much deeper into the danger presented by the titular character. While I was intrigued by the mystery of the first trailer, this one is appealing in its own way.

Things get quite intense here, as the presence of Morgan (played by THE WITCH's Anya Taylor-Joy) makes things very uncomfortable for characters played by the likes of Kate Mara, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Giamatti.

Directed by Ridley's son Luke Scott from a screenplay by Seth Owen, MORGAN centers on

a corporate troubleshooter (Mara) who is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human,” who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.

The film is set to reach theatres on September 2nd.
