Miguel Ferrer

Today is a sad day for Twin Peaks fans everywhere. Miguel Ferrer, who played FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield on the show and in the film FIRE WALK WITH ME, has passed away from cancer at the age of 61. The prolific character actor, who has been working since the early 80's, has made a mark across every area of pop culture.

Before reaching wide mainstream audiences in successful current shows like Crossing Jordan and NCIS: Los Angeles, Ferrer appeared in a wide variety of films including ROBOCOP, DEEPSTAR SIX, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, IRON MAN 3, and even – in an early role – STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK. He also voiced the memorable villain Shan-Yu in Disney's MULAN.

Tragically, just today he was cast as the villain Deathstroke in the upcoming animated movie TEEN TITANS: JUDAS CONTRACT, a role that is now suddenly vacant. However, he will be appearing in the upcoming Twin Peaks reboot out this May, so fans will have a chance to say goodbye.

Our hearts go out to Ferrer's friends, family, and fans. May he rest in peace.
