Run to the light, Carol Anne! Kennedi Clements cast in Poltergeist remake

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

MGM and Fox 2000's POLTERGEIST remake/reboot/sequel has scared up some new casting, this time in the form of 6 year old actress Kennedi Clements, who joins the previously announced Kyle Catlett, Jared Harris, Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie Dewitt in the Sam Raimi-produced haunted house shocker.

Deadline is reporting that Clements, whose credits include TV’s "A Family Thanksgiving", "Home for Christmas" and a recurring role on the Canadian series "Rogue", will play “Madison, the little girl (named Carol Anne in the 1982 original) who meets up with nasty ghosts in her TV.” Since this film is rumored to be a sequel and not the remake many fans were dreading Clements' character will most likely not be named Carol Anne, but wouldn't it be cool if she was?

POLTERGEIST is being produced by Sam Raimi with Gil Kenan (MONSTER HOUSE) directing from a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire.

“The story follows the Bowen family, whose life is suddenly disrupted after a supernatural force takes over their home and begins terrorizing them.”
