Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story casts Shelby Young

06.06.2011by: Eric Walkuski

Young actress Shelby Young has joined the "American Horror Story" pilot being prepped by "Nip/Tuck" creator Ryan Murphy.

Young's will be a recurring role as Leah, a pretty senior and leader of the mean girls who torment Violet Harmon (Taissa Farmiga). Young was in THE SOCIAL NETWORK and starred on a number of episodes of the soap opera "Days of Our Lives."

The mysterious series revolves around husband and wife Ben (Dylan McDermott) and Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) who move their family from Boston to a haunted San Francisco home in an attempt to rebuild their family after a miscarriage and affair.

F/X still hasn't set an air date for the series, which also stars Frances Conroy, Alexandra Breckenridge, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange and Denis O’Hare.

I'm certainly intrigued by this show; I don't care if Murphy is the guy responsible for "Glee".
