Saw Synopsis

Jun. 1, 2006by: Ammon Gilbert
We got a heads up today that Lionsgate has the official synopsis for SAW III up on their website, and it couldn't have come at a better time! After months of speculation of how and where they were planning on taking the SAW franchise, we finally have an idea of what to expect!

I know, I know, you want the good stuff, right? Ok, so here it goes:

Jigsaw has disappeared.

With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard.

One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff (Angus Macfayden), another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw’s own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them…

Very f*ckin' cool. I was wondering where they were going to take it, and I just hope both Bahar Soomekh and Angus Macfayden will be able to carry the film enough for us to give a f*ck if they make it or not. At this point though, I have no doubts that they will.

On another note, it looks like THE DESCENT is making it's summer debut in theaters August 4th- a date which has elluded us before. Nice! Perfect time to cash in on the dog days of summer.

So there you have it! The scoop on SAW III and the release of THE DESCENT! What more could you ask for?

Thanks to Lewie for the heads up!

actully, your wrong

he didint die in the last one, he was near death. If you noticed in the last scene of SAW II, his eyes were halfway open and moving and he was cracking a smile.

sounds interesting, but i hope this is the last one. Its time for this puppy to go down. I personally dont see a need for it myself.

arrrgh!

Am I the only person that can't tand this series? The main guy doesn't stick to his own basic interior logic and so far as I was able to figure out, he DIED at the end of the last one. Now he's just on the verge of death again? nIf you are going to go with illogic, go all out with it. If you are going to go with absurdity and unreality, go balls deep. Don't pretend to give stark, evil reality but then show up incapable of sticking to your own set-up principles. I really do not need
