Scope out some stills, a poster & a trailer for the twisted Giallo tribute flick Masks

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

You guys know damn well that whenever a potentially twisted flick croses our paths here at AITH we just have to tell you about it, right? Not because it’s our job, but because we feel we need to share this shite! And that’s exactly the case today.

You see today I’ve got details for you guys on little genre flick coming from director Andreas Marschall called MASKS. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of this one because I’m about to make you an expert on MASKS!

Just in time for Cannes, MASKS is just now hitting the final stages of post-production. What exactly does that mean? Well it means we’ve got a website, some stills, a creepy ass poster and a trailer for you guys! Didn’t I tell you you’d be an expert?

Now above and directly below you’ll find a few stills from MASKS followed by what looks like a teaser one-sheet (a freaky one at that) and a very creative trailer for the film, which can also be found over in our videos section. Dubbed as a tribute to giallo and the well-known work of Italian directors like Mario Bava and Dario Argento, MASKS definitely looks like it’s going to produce. Then again let’s try and not count our chickens before they hatch.

The story follows Stella, an ambitious acting student, who’s been accepted to the mysterious “Mateusz Gdula” school. The founder of the school committed suicide when his very special training method got forbidden because of the deaths of several of his students in the 70s.

But when strange things start to happen in the abandoned wing of the school, Stella suspects that Gdula’s method is still practised. And she wants to participate at all costs …

Works for me! Now that you’re all caught on MASKS be sure to spit some bullets below with what you think of the thing! With Cannes right around the corner I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more about MASKS in the near future so be sure to check back soon for that!
