Scream Factory's "Summer of Fear Part 2" lineup continues to roll out with more retro Italian-made horror films coming to Blu-ray for the first time with 1990’s "mad science" film METAMORPHOSIS doubled-billed with the 1990 haunted house-themed BEYOND DARKNESS.

Dr. Peter Houseman is a brilliant geneticist who is working on a serum which will stop human aging, but his colleagues don't believe in his work. When his university funding is threatened by his skeptical benefactors, the doctor takes a desperate measure to justify his work. He administers the serum to himself, but the results are unexpected and horrendous.
TROLL 2 director Claudio Fragasso helms 1990's BEYOND DARKNESS (also known as LA CASA 5, HOUSE 5, and HORROR HOUSE 2), written by Fragasso and Rossella Drudi and produced by Joe D'Amato. The film is the second sequel to GHOSTHOUSE, which itself is an unofficial sequel to THE EVIL DEAD and EVIL DEAD 2. Here's the synopsis:
A priest and his family move into a new house, without knowing that it was built over the place where twenty witches were burnt at the stake. Soon the terror begins, with the house terrorizing its inhabitants with the elements that lie within the construction.
