We are always excited for a new release from the Scream Factory and that's why we were stoked to learn way back in February that our favorite curator and home entertainment provider of many cult movie classics would be bringing us the DVD and Blu-ray release of Jeremy Gardner's THE BATTERY later this year. A few weeks later we learned that Scream Factory would also be bringing us PUMPKINHEAD and PUMPKINHEAD 2: BLOOD WINGS to Blu. Today we have some updates on THE BATTERY and PUMPKINHEAD 2: BLOOD WINGS to share with ya.
Scream Factory took to their Facebook page to reveal that THE BATTERY has been given the street date September 16th, with pre-order links set to make their way onto the net real soon. No details have been confirmed about extras, but we're told they will be revealed shortly. In the meantime, check out the reversible artwork for the release below, featuring the original theatrical poster on one side and a brand new piece of alternate art on the other.
Scream Factory also shared that they had to move PUMPKINHEAD II: BLOOD WINGS from its originally planned September 9 release date to a new date of October 21 due to unforeseen legal issues with the rights. However, the original PUMPKINHEAD film on Blu-ray will stay on September 9.
