There are currently almost 250 credits in the Actress section of Debbie Rochon's filmography, and after thirty years in the industry the scream queen is stepping behind the camera to start adding credits to a new category. Having co-directed an episode of the web series In Fear Of a couple years ago, Rochon has now made her feature directorial debut with MODEL HUNGER, a film that is set to be released in the U.S. this summer by Wild Eye Releasing.
For MODEL HUNGER, Rochon has pit two of her fellow scream queens against each other, casting Lynn Lowry and Tiffany Shepis as women who make lousy neighbors for each other. The cast also includes Brian Fortune, Suzi Lorraine, and Carmine Capobianco.
Former pinup model Ginny (Lowry) had been cast aside by the heartless and exploitative modeling industry. Ginny didn't take rejection well and grew into a revenge-seeking, bloodthirsty, broken woman. When her new neighbors Debbie (Shepis) and Sal (Capobianco) move in, Debbie begins to notice strange things going on. Sal believes she is mentally unstable, but Debbie becomes determined to figure out what secret life Ginny is leading. Her new nosy neighbor throws a damper on Ginny's private life: her cannibalistic addictions and ever-growing body count. Both women become determined to put an end to the other's obsession.
