Shia LaBeouf ready to get all demonic for adaptation of Joe Hill’s Horns?!

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Have you guys ever heard of Joe Hill’s HORNS? Well that makes one of us. Just in case you’re in the same boat I am why don’t I take a second to school you all on this one right quick.

HORNS is a novel by Joe Hill that was optioned to become a film over a year ago. Actually our last update on the project came way back in January 2010. Yeah it’s been a while…

So here we are today, over a year since hearing anything even remotely close to the project, and what an update we have for you! According to Variety HORNS is coming back into the fold with a vengeance by casting Tinsel-Town’s resident ‘It-Boy’ Shia LaBeouf! That just happened! Now not only will LaBeouf be starring in this thing but apparently he’ll also have a hand in it’s development. Works for me!

HORNS is about a decent enough young man named Ignatius Perrish, a guy who has always tried to do the right thing, only to see his whole life abruptly torn away from him. His girlfriend, the person he loves more than anyone in the world, is killed, and although he’s never charged with the murder, everyone, including his family and friends, believe Ig is responsible. Then one night Ig goes out drunk to rage and curse God, and when he wakes, he discovers he’s grown a pair of horns, and that people have a sudden compulsion to confess their darkest secrets and ugliest impulses to him. It isn’t long before Ig turns his terrible new powers to finding the man who killed his beloved, and taking his revenge.

Now while no director has been attached yet, we do know that Keith Bunin penned the script for the film based on Hill’s novel. That’s all we’ve got for you today unfortunately but I’m sure things on HORNS will be rolling along nicely now that they’ve got a name like LaBeouf attached. Be sure to keep it here for any other HORNS updates that happen to come our way!
