Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has a new TV spot

Oct. 3, 2012by: Ike Oden

Yesterday, we reported a sweet new illustrated poster for SILENT HILL: REVELATION 3D that most of you seemed to dig. That, of course, was just an appetizer building up to the much meatier TV spot which just hit the net.

In thirty seconds, it has more monsters, action, and surrealist craziness than most 2012 horror films combined. I'm especially digging the carnival/hell motif, though some of the CGI is a bit rough (which was also a major problem in the first film).

Overall, it looks like we're in good hands with the Michael J. Bassett sequel, which stars Adelaide Clemns, Kit Harington, Carrie Anne Moss, Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell (below) and Malcolm McDowell. It hits theaters October 26th. Check out the spot below and tell us what you think.

Extra Tidbit: Those stitch-faced monsters creep my sh*t out.

CGI

I agree, the CGI was crap in the 1st movie. I hated that stuff for the transition between the normal and dark Otherworld, they should've just taken a more minimal approach like the games without all the fancy, cartoon-y visual FX. Whatever happened to 'less is more'?

These stitch-face guys look goofy to me. Yeah, there are faceless creatures in the games but they don't look exactly like that. It's more like SMILEY to me...
