Sin City TV series announced! Check out who’s involved

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

I remember first seeing the trailer for Robert Rodriguez's SIN CITY adaptation I guess it was over ten years ago now. Sh*t… Anyhow the trailer blew me away and I wore that sumbitch out, making every single one of my friends watch it over and over. Then we all saw the movie and loved it.

Then the sequel took f*cking years to finally hit the screen and we all lost interest in a big bad way. That said, I'm not uninterested in the world of SIN CITY – or even Mickey Rourke as Marv – I am just more than a little fatigued at the B&W green-screen style after all the years have worn out its novelty.

With that in mind, we just got word that TWC and Dimension are developing a reboot of Frank Miller's SIN CITY – this time set for TV. The series will evidently be coming our way courtesy of once upon a time THE WALKING DEAD showrunner Glen Mazzara. Mazzara also took the lead on that OMEN TV show DAMIEN, if you dug that series.

The intention of this new SIN CITY series is to depart from the movies (and thus I'm guessing the graphic novels) and will introduce new characters, timelines, and so forth into the world of SIN CITY.

Supposedly there are a handful of networks looking to snatch up the project so we'll let you know once the Weinsteins pick a home for the series – let's just hope they don't pull a SCREAM on us and give SIN CITY TV to MTV or some sh*t.

The new SIN CITY pilot will be directed by UNDERWORLD's Len Wiseman aka the dude who made that PG-13 DIE HARD movie a few years back, with Stephen L’Heureux producing with Frank Miller, Mazzara, Wiseman and Bob & Harvey Weinstein.

We'll let you know more when we hear anything further on the SIN CITY series. Until then let us know what you think of this news on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
