After making his feature directorial debut with the horror film CITADEL in 2012 and following that up with SINISTER 2, Ciarán Foy seems determined to keep working within the genre for his third film. He has spent the time since the release of SINISTER 2 developing projects at Blumhouse Productions, including the "elevated thriller" THE SHEE, and has now signed on to direct the psychological horror film ELI for Broad Green Pictures.

David Chirchirillo wrote the original script for ELI, which was featured on the Black List in 2015. THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE screenwriters Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing are now working on a rewrite of the script. The story they're telling:

When a young boy undergoes treatment for a rare disease, a secluded clinic becomes a haunted prison with no way out.

Trevor Macy will be producing ELI through his Intrepid Pictures banner, alongside John Zaozirny of Bellevue Productions. Gabriel and Daniel Hammond of Broad Green serve as executive producers, with Intrepid's Melinda Nishioka co-producing.

Filming on ELI is expected to begin sometime this summer.

There's not much to go by on this one so far. The idea of a haunted clinic doesn't immediately grab me, but I may become more interested in ELI as we learn more about it.
