Skin disease horror thriller Replace gets greenlight

Canadian producers Ultra 8 Pictures, A71 Productions and 108 Media are pacting with German partner Sparkling Pictures to produce Norbert Keil's horror thriller REPLACE, which just got the greenlight out of Berlin, according to THR.

Keil's directorial debut is set to start production later this year in Canada, and follows a host of the director's shorts that screened at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the Midnight Madness sidebar programmed by Ultra 8 Pictures' Colin Geddes.

No word as of yet on casting.

Replace portrays a young woman with a strange skin disease is forced to make a choice when she discovers she can replace her own skin with other woman's and maintain her beauty.

Felix von Poser, David Miller, Geddes, Katrina Gligorijevic will produce the genre picture that was written by Richard Stanel and Keil.

Sounds like REPLACE could be a nasty good time. Can't wait to hear more on this one.
