Skyline is getting a sequel; check out the sales poster here

05.22.2014by: Kevin Woods

You guys and gals remember 2010's SKYLINE, right? Directed by the Brothers Strause (ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM) and starring Eric Balfour, the film is most notable for its infuriating cliffhanger ending that left many viewers pissed. As initially promised when it was released four years ago, it now looks like a sequel is now being put together, and we've got the early sales art to share with you.

Announced via an official Facebook page, writer and producer of the 2010 film, Liam O’Donnell, will be helming BEYOND SKYLINE, with the Brothers Strause (Greg & Colin) handling producer duties. No plot details are available yet, but let's hope they resolve the original films asinine ending and go from there.

O'Donnell has teamed up with his SKYLINE co-writer Joshua Cordes to write the sequel.

Check out the early sales art for BEYOND SKYLINE below and then let us know in the comments below if you even have any interest in seeing this one.

the ending wasnt the only thing that was Asinine

SKYLINE was HORRIBLE... where is it NOW? nowhere!
you cant rent it, you cant BUY IT, it's not on NETFLIX or ITUNES or Amazon... really? in four years this turd of a movie has completely disappeared off the face of the earth.... and I for one am grateful...
I will not support the sequel in any way, shape or form.

Yay!

I really liked Skyline and will definitely see the next one. I thought the effects were fantastic for how low-budget it was. Glad this property isn't being ditched and forgotten about.

While I can say many awful things about skyline, i will admit that there was a decent idea hidden in there (somewhere)and I actually didnt mind it. There's been way worse(i.e Darkest Hour).it isnt a bad film for what is essentially a B-movie, and the way i look at it, they owe everybody for that abortion of an ending that was so dumb I warned people when I reviewed it to run out of the theater when the screen faded to white. Guess we'll see how it all works out.

I am interested!

I actually liked the film! Yeah, the acting wasn't top notch, but I knew that going in. The effects were cool and decently done, and the ending made me excited. It went from being an alien invasion film to being a superhero film, even if it did end on a cliffhanger. It just let you fill in the rest of the film with your imagination!

suprisingly yes

The first film ended off great. With the main guy an alien but it ended. So, I'm actually looking forward to what happens after he is an alien
