It's been almost two years since we got a look at the first trailer for BONEJANGLES, a slasher / zombie mash-up from director Brett DeJager. Watching that trailer, I was instantly hooked in to see the movie. With imagery of a masked slasher on a rampage in a zombie-infested town, an obvious love for the style of 1980s horror, and Reggie Bannister in the cast, it wasn't tough for DeJager's film to win me over.
I've been anxiously waiting for some distribution news ever since, and now it is known when BONEJANGLES will be making its way out into the world. Wild Eye Releasing will be giving in a VOD release on July 18th.
Scripted by Keith Melcher, BONEJANGLES has the following synopsis:
To safely deliver an unstoppable killer, a rag-tag group of police officers must first survive a hellish pit stop: a cursed town where the dead rise from their graves.
Bannister's co-stars include Elissa Dowling, Kelly Misek Jr., Julia Cavanaugh, Devin Toft, Jamie Scott Gordon, Lawrence Wayne Curry, and Hannah Richter.
I'm really looking forward to finally getting the chance to check this one out. In the meantime, a new trailer has appeared online, with Rue Morgue getting the exclusive on it. You can watch that trailer below:
