Just when you thought RAMBO was the last film to be starring and to be written and directed by Sylvester Stallone comes some news that will blow you out of the water. Variety announced this morning that Stallone is set to direct and star in his script, THE EXPENDABLES!
But it gets better. Not only will this star Stallone, but Jason Statham and Jet Li are also lined up to be in the film as well. That’s right, three power-house action stars in one power-house action movie! F*ck yeah!
I’m sure some of you are disappointed that he’s not making RAMBO 5 right now. Well, don’t be. Check out the synopsis for THE EXPENDABLES: [The movie] is about a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator.
If you ask me, it sounds like a team of Rambo’s out to f*ck up some evil dictatorship. This thing keeps getting better and better by the moment! EXPENDABLES is set up at NuImage / Millenium Films (like RAMBO was), so maybe we can expect the same level of savage violence this time around as well–we can only hope!
