Spoiler heavy viral video for Super 8 identifies the mysterious monster

Spoilers ahead…

For the impatient I suppose, Paramount has issued a spoiler-heavy viral video for J.J. Abrams’ SUPER 8, which opens in theaters everywhere tomorrow. In the black and white period-reel, you’ll hear descriptions of the mysterious monster that features prominently in the film, as well as get a glimpse of what the odious beast looks like. I refuse to give her a look, but I am hearing whispers of CLOVERFIELD.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
