Spooky Empire 2015: Best of Cosplay Gallery!

Hey gang! We have a special article to share with you on this Friday. AITH reader Michael Sprague recently attended the Spooky Empire convention in Orlando, Florida, and was awesome enough to take a shit-ton of pictures for us so we can share them with you. Spooky Empire is one of the top horror conventions in the nation. Every year it is visited by tens of thousands of fanboys, horror girls, and cosplay heroes, and every year it gets bigger, crazier, and more star-studded.

This year’s convention was hosted by the high-class resort, the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, heart of the Sunshine State (Florida for those of you unfamiliar with postcards).  And let me tell you, upon walking through the front entrance of this massive hotel my first thought was “Wow, they don’t let people like me into places like this.” That feeling never went away all weekend. Every moment I expected someone in a tailored suit to kindly tap me on the shoulder and direct me to the huge bouncer dressed like James Bond’s butler, who would then proceed to throw me – head first – out into the humid October night. But that never happened!

The vast hallways of this 5 star resort were crowded with hordes of goblins, witches, warlocks, clowns, killers, and of course ZOMBIES, transforming this upper class bash into a 12 year old screenwriters version of the apocalypse (or, you know, the end of CABIN IN THE WOODS).

Spooky Empire celebrated 13 years this Halloween, and this guy was there to soak in all the hotties, horror and gore galore, spending the better part of three FULL days rocking and rolling to the tune of all things horror and Halloween.
