Stephen King’s thriller 11/22/63 finds a home on Hulu

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

11/22/63 is without a doubt one of Stephen King’s best novels in recent years, and now it’s headed to the small screen thanks to Hulu, who will turn King’s time-travel tale into a nine-hour event series from Bad Robot, King, executive producer-writer Bridget Carpenter and Warner Bros. This is a pretty big move for Hulu as it marks their most significant original series order to date. “If I ever wrote a book that cries out for long-form, event TV programming, 11/22/63 is it,” King said in a statement.

It’s a fascinating story that takes a unique perspective on time-travel and spins it into a truly thrilling tale as a man attempts to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Hopefully they stick closely to King's pages on this one because it's a very cool story that winds its way through an insane timeline to an unforgettable finish.

Here’s what the novel is about:

Based upon the best-selling 2011 novel written by King and published by Scribner, 11/22/63 is a thriller in which high school English teacher Jake Epping travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and the past itself … which doesn’t want to be changed.

There's still no word on when this one will get rolling and out to audiences, so keep an eye here for more as we get it.
