Stranger Things 3 will be set after a significant time jump

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Like many of you out there, I spent the better part of my weekend two weeks ago binge-watching the second season of Netflix and The Duffer Brothers STRANGER THINGS. Worth it.

And I don't know about you, but I enjoyed STRANGER THINGS 2 more than the first season – so much so that I even penned a special article here at AITH which you can check out HERE.

It's with this in mind I'm excited as hell and counting down the days until STRANGER THINGS 3. While that may be a ways off (hopefully a year at the most) we can start looking towards the next season.

The Duffer Brothers sure are. In a recent interview with THR, the brothers Duffer dropped some info on the third season and said the series will pick up after a significant time jump.

Matt Duffer:

Even if we wanted to hop into the action faster, we couldn't. Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They're going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting season three. It provides certain challenges. You can't start right after season two ended. It forces you to do a time jump.

It's a long way of saying that yeah, we're going to do a time jump.

What did you think of STRANGER THINGS 2? Did you like it more or less than the first season? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media!
