Stephen Susco, who wrote THE GRUDGE and its sequel, has just signed on to make his directorial debut for Rogue Pictures. The flick's called WHITE, and it sounds like the best possible movie to make your debut with!
Based on a novella by Tim Lebbon, WHITE is the story of a group of people trapped in a blizzard... who are systematically picked off one by one by some mysterious phantoms. While you could stretch it and say it sounds a lot like Stephen King's THE MIST, the fact that it's set in a blizzard is scary enough- but to throw in some phantoms? The concept is a good vehicle for both psychological horror and monster scares.
No word on when production is set to go underway, but stick around as casting news is sure to surface soon! Who will it be? A group of unknowns, or will Sarah Michelle Gellar show Susco some love and be down for a trip? We can only hope!
