Suspiria remake gets November theatrical release date

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It was just last week that we let you guys know that director Luca Guadagnino's upcoming remake of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA starring Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, and Chloë Grace Moretz was going to be hitting theaters this fall. And today we have Amazon's official announcement that the movie will be heading our way this November!

Yes, Amazon just confirmed that they will release SUSPIRIA in theaters November 2, 2018. I'm particularly excited about this news considering I've heard nothing but crazy word of mouth about the brutal footage that screened recently at CinemaCon. I have to see this footage for myself as soon as possible, and I guess this November will do just fine.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the remake stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth and Jessica Harper in a tale that begins:

As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare.

And on top of this awesome news, the studio also sent us two official stills from the film as well. You can check out one above, featuring Johnson looking right into our souls. And the other below, featuring Johnston again getting ready to "break" dance a bitch to pieces. You'll get that joke once you see the film.

Amazon Studios will release SUSPIRIA in theaters November 2, 2018.
